Hi! I’m Dionna, and welcome to my portfolio!

I’m a freelance writer, music and culture critic, and editor based in Boston. I graduated from Emerson College with a degree in journalism and a minor in sociology and anthropology. I have a diverse portfolio but my passion lies in creative nonfiction and writing about the Arts, music, and culture. I am also an experienced copy editor familiar with both the Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebook. In addition to my work as a freelancer, I interned with Boston Children’s Hospital. There I edited and co-authored chapters of the textbook APERT SYNDROME: Comprehensive Care of the Patient and Family, a groundbreaking open-access textbook published by Springer in 2025.

Do you know any stories that need to be told and you think I’m a good fit? Is there work you’re interested in me editing? Please reach out! I’m always looking for new projects.
